How much is my antique watch worth?
Its a 1850s pocket watch found at cold harbor.
On the watch cover it has a engraving of a horse and a dog in a meadow.
On the back cover there is a piece of parchment surrounded by flowers and flora.
When you open it the the hands are missing (probably fallen off by rust) and the creator name says JOSH (with a line under the H) JOHNSON and right below the name it says LIVERPOOL
When you open the back the gutting is still all there and it has a relativity low serial number (306) above that is a very tiny seal that is very hard to make out (I think it might be 38 with a crown over it but i can barley see it)
Thanks in advance!
There's not enough info for anyone to give you a good answer. First, is it gold or silver? ETC.
The style of pocket watch you have is referred to as a "Hunter's case"
If it's gold or silver PLATED or less, then most of these fall in the $50-$100 price range, unless they are in very good condition.
