My son has recently acquired an antique split cane rod, called "the Hampshire" any ideas on it's value?
It's in excellent condition, gold wiring etc. Made by a company called Lee of Redditch and Pershore.
I would be to go to this site and post the question. www.joesoldlures.com/wwwboard Many of the people on this site collect old fishing rods, lures, reels basically all vintage tackle. I believe that you will get a honest answer as to the value there. I would highly suggest checking out it's value, so that you don't let it go too cheap. And if you decide to list it on a auction site or other venue. You will list it properly with enough information to maximize your return. I have a gut feeling that it may be made in England and may have some value. Hope this helps.
