how hard is it to replace the small fan inside this antique computer I'm using,?
its the one on the inside of the tower not the one blowing out the back.i sprayed wd40 on it twice to get it going,but it needs replacing.when its not working the moniter wont come on.
Is it the one on the back of the case inside, or the one in the power supply? The one on the case can be replaced very easily. You can buy a replacement fan online, or some stores like Radio Shack sell them.
If it is the one in the power supply, then you should purchase a new power supply. Power supplies can be very dangerous to mess with if you don't know what you are doing (and I speak from experience!).
